Reggae icon Buju Banton has been nominated for a Grammy. But the gay community is not happy about it.  In LA, the  Gay & Lesbian Center has made a statement that  denounces Buju Banton’s nomination. They don’t care about how good he is or about any artistic merits of his works.

The Center’s Chief Public Affairs Officer is quoted as saying, “We’re shocked that Buju Banton, a singer with a long record of performing a song that glorifies the murder of gay people, would be honored with a Grammy nomination, regardless of the artistic merit of any of his work.”

The Grammy nomination is for best reggae album for Buju Banton’s CD Rasta Got Soul.
