Sizzla Kalonji, real name Miguel Collins, was held on  Wednesday (27 January 2010) by Jamaican  Central police in St Andrew parish after reports that gunshots were fired at a group of people who were by a river in August Town.

According to news reports from RJR News, a senior officer at the Half-Way-Tree Police Station said that “the artiste’s provided them with swabbed samples, which wre then sent to the government laboratory to determine whether or not he had fired a weapon.”

However, Sizzla has since been released, following reports by his manager,  that he will not be facing anymore  charges.
